I<\/span>n this article, we have examined certain structural features of prayers, presenting what a prayer is. Prayers are texts with structural characteristics and content diversity, both in prose and poetry. The prayers selected from the Mashtots’ Ritual book are those read during the Holy Baptism, the Blessing of the Home for Christmas, the blessing of a new book, betrothal, and wedding ceremonies, as these prayers are quite frequent in the life of a Christian.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our study includes etymological analysis of prayer, analysis of selected rituals, and the linguistic features of those prayers. The prayers from the Mashtots’ Ritual book we studied are multi-layered. To analyze the structural characteristics, we have considered the frequently used word combinations in these prayers, paying attention to their conjugations and the specific features of the most commonly used parts of speech.<\/span><\/p>\n
